We are half way through the school year and spring is just around the corner. It is also the season that students are starting to think about summative projects.

My SNC2D students should be working on their Science Fair project which is due in just a few weeks. They will also be starting the Chemistry Unit after they write the Geometric Optics test next week.

My SBI4U students have started their unit on Molecular Genetics and I will be posting marks to the Photosynthesis test very soon.

I also want to remind everyone to keep up the good work.

Trying Out LiveScribe

I am trying out a Livescribe pen to illustrate the solutions to the refraction homework students worked on over the weekend. Since we are having a quiz tommorrow I thought I would not only share the solutions in class but would also share them as a pencast.

Updated Notes

I had a bit of time today and updated the grade 10 notes to include everything we have done so far.

The grade 12 Biology notes are a little bit more problematic. The formatting in those documents and the embedded images don’t want to translate very well into Google Docs so I think I will have to upload the original MS Word docs over the next little while. Also, I have decided to just give students access to the folders with all the documents instead of linking to individual documents.

One last thing. I have uploaded marks to the site but I have not yet given students their secret ID’s and login information. I will do this soon as I hope to post updated marks monthly till the end of the year.
